“You do not rise to the level of your goals. You fall to the level of your systems.”

– James Clear

I had one of those Ah-Ha! moments when I first read that quote in James Clear’s book Atomic Habits. It shows what we all know deep down…that motivation is complete BS when it comes to making lasting change. No matter how motivated you feel after hearing a speech or watching a video, it will wear off. Most likely by the morning. Then where are you?

The level of your systems, however, is where all the magic happens. This is your default state of living where everything is in autopilot. Win or lose, this is where you live. It’s also the best place to focus any personal development efforts. Putting the right things on automatic has a snowballing compound effect that will blow your mind.

Our minds, bodies, and spirits can all be helped out if we make small, steady adjustments in what we do on a daily basis. Bill Gates once said “Most people overestimate what they can do in one year and underestimate what they can do in ten years.” Being realistic about what to expect, but also not missing the stars because we only aimed for the moon is a fine line to walk. The key is: there is no finish line.

To this, I dedicate this website.
